Smoke Blitz at Waldersea

                           Who said the blitz was over in the 1940`s?
On Wednesday 20th October, there was a smoke blitz by our Civil Engineering Department, there was not one fire going but three

                        Great fun was had by all

              When we finished for the day it looked mush cleaner

Waldersea Yard

It was on Wednesday 13th October, the Civil Engineers Department had a blitz on the undergrowth at Waldersea, even to spending a couple of extra hours more than normal, to clear the vast amount of vegetation they did, with two members having travelled from Essex to assist.

I must apologise for the errors in the last update, as that was my first try at adding any thing to the blog but I shall get better as time goes on.

If any one as been down to waldersea you will have noticed that the council have put road marking down

Well now they have removed them as they have covered the road markings by retared the road again

The civil engineering Dept have been out again at waldersea making ready the ground for the 5^th November bonfire night

Over the summer the civel engineering dept have replased the sign to waldersea.

The Civil Engineering Dept Have been very active around Waldersea in the summer months 

in clearing the site of the mass of vegetation that has got out of hand

                                              more volunteers are made welcome

                                          The First  vehicle was a Rail Rover ( Ha Ha Ha )

Wimbotsham Model Railway Show

        On Saturday 18th September 2010 a Model Railway Show was held at Wimbotsham Villige Hall
              The Bramley Line Roadshow was invited to attend in order to raise fonds for our project
                                       We did very well out of it despite minor criticism of the previous show

Early start for our first ever Model Railway Exhibition

On Saturday, June 19th, it was a very early start for volunteers at our first ever model railway exhibition. Setting up the hall from 7am, the hall was open by 10am. We are grateful to everyone who visited and who participated in the show, and we everyone who visited enjoyed the mini show. Below are some photos from the event:-

and then there was the start attraction upstairs, a fully working model of the Wisbech & Upwell Tramway....

Visitors where given a proper Edmondson ticket for entry and most people seemed to really enjoy the show, even though we sadly had a couple of exhibits who were unable to attend at the last minute.
