Back to the Weeding....

On Sunday, members of the Bramley Line where back out again and have returned to the weeding. Work was carried out near Whitemoor and the group are now working to a new improved method, which we hope will mean the line will remain clear throughout once we reach Wisbech.
This area has already been cleared. Its amazing how fast it grows back!
This gives an idea of how we propose to keep on top. We will clear the entire line, stating at this point every time along the Ballast line and move forward with each week. It is hoped by starting here each week and moving forward, we will keep on top of the weeds as the build up.
Simon and Kevin lost in the weeds.
We always like to see our chairman hard at work....
as you can see...

Work continues at Elm Road Crossing, March

On Sunday, July 19th, we were back out at Elm Road Crossing carrying on the work to repair the fencing around the Level Crossing and make it look much better for all. We erected new fencing on the North side of the crossing and painted it in undercoat, ready to be painted in Gloss later. Some photos from the day are below:

Discussions carry on, while painting carries on...
Painting the fencing, and starting to look quite smart.
Everything comes to a halt as the heavens open!

We couldn't do all these things without the help of our volunteer members. We currently have two active areas of the Railway, the Marketing group and the Track Working group. The marketing group cover the advertising and fundraising activities, while the track working group do a lot of vegetation clearance and work to make the railway look better. We value all our volunteers, no matter how much time they can give, and if you would like to get involved, please let us know.

Bramley Line Roadshow comes to Wisbech's Rose Fair

Members from the Bramley Line were out in force yesterday at the Rose Fair in Wisbech to promote the Bramley Line's cause. We received many supportive comments and launched our Raise A Wagon Load of Cash Appeal.

It was a wonderful day with glorious sunshine and we raised a good amount towards the cause. We thank everyone who came and spoke to us about the launch of a Heritage community railway and those who gave us thier support against the ATOC proposal.
If you want to help us get up and running and involved, please get in touch. We need volunteers to help do all sorts of jobs around the railway.
