Track Clearing & Reccying

Waldersea Yard

Today, just a small team of the Civil Engineers Department were again clearing up the site at Waldersea for a few hours, where a fair amount of vegetation was cleared away, making the area look that much cleaner, instead of the eyesore it once got to be
This was finished before going on to check other areas of the line and while being towards the Wisbech end, steam could be seen rising above the track in the distance, but sadly no locomotive producing it. Perhaps if we had a few more volunteers to help, then we just Might get to see steam along this line once again, and sooner, rather than not at all?


The Department are now out twice a week subject to the weather, and as well as Sundays at present, they are also seen out and about on a Wednesday, should anybody else wish to come along and help with this project?
